Trauma

If you are a trauma survivor, you may be haunted by memories from your past. Your emotional brain is designed to use these hauntings to keep you safe from future harm. Unfortunately, they often persist long past the actual danger, because your emotions do not realize the trauma was a long time ago.

Lifespan Integration Therapy uses an individual’s life story to introduce time to the emotional brain.   Our emotions do not know that time has passed, so they believe all trauma is happening now.  By watching your timeline, the emotional brain learns that time has moved on. Whether your trauma is related to a specific event or resulting from a network of interactions in relationships, L.I. allows those memories move into the past where they belong.
